Vaser Liposuction
The newest method in liposuction
Fat accumulation in certain areas of the body may cause problems for certain women as well as men. In some cases even thinner persons face stubborn fat issues. Stubborn fat around the hips, tummy and love handles is mostly an aesthetic problem, which can change the appearance and symmetry of the body.
Liposuction is without doubt the queen of plastic surgery procedures in Mediterranean countries where fat around the hips for women and fat around tummy in men is very common. Liposuction and liposculpture are two similar techniques that vary as to indications.

Frequent Questions
If the surgeon is to strictly adhere to the rules of the liposuction technique with local anaesthesia (tumescent technique), both during and after the procedure, the amount of fat that can be removed from the patient in one operating session is up to 10 litres. The plastic surgeon’s experience and post-operative care at the hospital is of outmost importance.
Vaser liposuction is the most modern and advanced liposuction technology that uses radiofrequencies to target very specific area where fat is homogenised and liquefied. At the same time, the thermal energy produced by radiofrequencies causes the stimulation and induction of fibroblasts resulting to greater firming of the targeted areas, while simultaneous vasoconstriction greatly reduces post-operative oedema and possible ecchymosis and bruising observed following the regular technique. Moreover, through liquidation and homogenisation of the adipose tissue we achieve a smoother surface without any wave or cavity formations that were often when regular liposuction was used. The results of the new technique are so exceptional that we now use this method with great accuracy in the abdomen, inner and outer thighs, knees and arms while we have been also very successful in treating the chin area (double chin) and eyelids.
The procedure is performed with local anaesthesia and the patient may return home on the same day. His/her only obligation is to wear a thin, elastic compression garment for 3-4 weeks, which is almost invisible underneath clothes. Results are visible as early as the first week after the procedure, while skin firming and fibroblast production continues for up to six months after the operation.
